How refreshing to read this facebook post and know that I AM making a difference

Nobody can accuse me of rushing into things. For over twelve months I toyed with the idea of networking and had seen Lyn pop up in various posts on my Facebook page. I read, then contemplated then read again and quietly watched while I observed what others were ‘getting out of it’. Faced with a dilemma of whether to give up my shop (landlord was selling up), or give it my all, I plumped for the latter and went to my first networking evening after bumping into Lyn whilst she was selling her cards. I still wasn’t convinced and then went to a second. This was the one that made my mind up for me. What I realised at the second meeting was that it wasn’t about going there and getting guaranteed work but it showed me whether my business was viable or not by listening to others’ reactions and sharing tips and suggestions. Now armed with a more positive attitude I haven’t looked back. I’ve been involved with events that I would never have thought possible and quite honestly there aren’t enough hours in the day. I do have one more goal though……….to try and keep up with Lyn – I don’t know how you fit it all in!!
