Wight Buzz
Business networking is one of the best ways of connecting with other businesses, helping members to promote themselves and also to find the services that they need to function effectively. Unfortunately Business Network membership fees can often be high, especially when there are so many other overheads incurred in running a business.
Welcome to WightBuzz a business network with a difference; founded by Lyn Blackledge after she won a Mumpreneurs award in 2010. Lyn has run a variety of successful businesses and has been a member of various networking groups and has strong links to the mainland.
Lyn realized that since networking is her passion; why not use the skills to help others? She saw there was a great need for a low cost business network here on the Isle of Wight to promote local businesses in these challenging times.
Membership costs £30 per year and currently offers the following benefits:
- Members of WightBuzz can meet at a variety of different locations around the Island at times to suit them. (It could even be at your café, pub or restaurant.)
- A Facebook page is available for members to post information and to keep up with the activities of fellow members.
- A website which will include a member’s directory and forum.
- A monthly email newsletter sent to all members. This includes details of special offers and upcoming events and promotions.
- WightBuzz also offers the following ‘add on’ services at an affordable cost; facebook and twitter service, invoicing facility, secretarial services, phone answering and leaflet distribution.
A Wight Buzz hub is now in development which will offer much more to members, delivery address, packaging station, meeting rooms, training, courier service, storage space and more
There will also be opportunities for those who want to grow their businesses on the mainland as Wight Buzz is also being developed as Bizzness Buzz with groups already being set up in several areas.
