Lyn Blackledge has been dubbed a networking guru, having practised for 18 years! She has now decided to utilize those skills in order to help those running small businesses on the Isle of Wight. Many of you may already know that networking is key to the survival of many businesses and word of mouth is how it works on the Island. The WightBuzz Facebook fan page is where it all started. Lyn now runs networking events around the Island at different times and venues, which are hosted by various small businesses involved in WightBuzz – so there should be something for everyone. Enhancements are being added to membership and Wightbuzz now offers additional services e.g running facebook pages/twitter feeds, invoicing and other secretarial services. More projects are in the pipeline.
WightBuzz meetings started out being hosted on the first Tuesday of every month from 7 – 9 pm, at The Castle Pub, which we are proud to say are still taking place. This is an opportunity for members to come along to meet up, exchange business cards, information and get to know what everyone else is offering.
Lyn is running a blog on this site, and eagerly encourages members to contribute towards it, and leave comments. There is a members directory and new members are being added all the time so be sure to check back to see who is the latest to have heard about the buzz.
